Sulong Tulong: A Benefit Run For Miss Lordei Hina

surging_forward

The Fraternity takes pride in its long history of service to the UP community and to the Filipino masses. Armed with the principle of service and sacrifice to the College and Country, the Fraternity has become known for its progressive nature that sets it apart from traditional fraternities and organizations.

Thus it is only logical that service still be in mind by the Fraternity even on its 44th anniversary. This year, such service will be rendered to Ms. Lordei Hina, a fellow UP Diliman student who suffered from a fatal brain injury one year ago.

In an attempt to steal from the University Student Council Office, two men who pretended to be applying for a booth in the UP Fair attacked Lordei while she was on volunteer duties in the office. She was stabbed seven times in the head by an ice-pick. The most fatal stab wound was the one that had pierced through her skull. After the attack, Lordei was given a slim chance to survive and had been closely monitored in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) of Capitol Medical Center for 10 days. She went various surgeries including a major brain surgery. She is now out of danger but still has to undergo continuous rehabilitation therapies. Her family cannot shoulder all the expenses alone.

The fraternity had dedicated its activities for the recovery of Ms. Hina, with proceeds from all 4 events to be donated to her. These events will be distributed throughout the month of February.

Good morning sir! Meron pong medal and moonleaf 2013 planner for the winner. Unfortunately, di na po kami makakapagbigay ng finisher shirt dahil po nais naming ipamahagi kay Miss Hina ang karamihan nang maiipon. Under negotiation pa po ang time chip.
