St. Peter Life Run 2 Manila

The St. Peter Life Run (Manila) will be held on October 23, 2011 (Sunday) at the SM Mall of Asia.

This is the only running event that offers a very affordable flat registration fee of P200 across running categories. Furthermore, it is the only fun run where the spirits of Halloween and Undas are light and exciting.

Runners, especially in the 3km category, are all encouraged to run in their favorite movie or cartoon characters and enjoy the photo opportunity afterwards. It will be like a fantasy land for all runners. Of course, goodies await finishers in costumes.

Walk the World Pilipinas 2011

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), along with its global humanitarian partners TNT, Unilever and DSM, will stage a global awareness and fundraising event called “End Hunger: Walk the World,” which shall occur in 24 time zones within 24 hours in 80 different countries, bringing awareness to the issue of child hunger and raising funds for school feeding activities of WFP. All donations are devoted to WFP’s Global School Feeding Programme, which provides nutritious food as an incentive to bring children to school and keep them there.
